THESIS1 UX/UI2 MOTION3 2019
LOS ANGELES, CA.
StrangelyFamiliar was a senior thesis exploring self identity, cultural integration and translating these concepts into something tangible. StrangelyFamiliar is a concept that functions as an online tool, where the user can input as many countries/regions they are from and can create a drawer of elements from each culture they resonate with most. With this, motifs/textures/emblems are blended together to create a unique composition which can be printed on an artifact of their choosing.
The components in this project (shown and not shown) are: the website, 3D promotion videos and prints, business cards, and a range of goods from hand dyed textiles using various dye techniques, laser cut decorative wooden boxes and 3D printed miniature versions of the artifacts from the promotion.
